MD-PhD Position in Clinical Research (Global Health Context) - Klinische Epidemiologie

The University Hospital Basel is seeking a candidate for an MD-PhD Position in Clinical Research, focusing on global health. The main day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, running, and analyzing a 1-year pilot and a 2-year cluster randomized trial, refining the ComBaScale app, and coordinating site initiation and data monitoring. The candidate will also develop and deliver training for local staff and community health workers on diabetes, hypertension, HIV, and TB care. To be considered for this role, candidates must have a medical degree with basic clinical experience, as well as a strong interest in global health, epidemiology, and clinical trials. They should also have an affinity for digital tools, basic skills in data management and analysis, and excellent spoken and written English. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to deepen their skills, particularly in R, and be comfortable with recurring stays in rural Lesotho. Prior coding or biostatistics experience is a plus, but not required.
