Senior Biotech Ingenieur (m/f/d)

The Senior Biotech Engineer (m/f/d) will join Exyte's project unit, where the focus is on delivering biopharmaceutical process solutions from the first idea through to on‑site implementation. The role involves steering process‑design activities, liaising with client teams, internal engineers and external suppliers, and ensuring smooth hand‑over of completed facilities. Key duties include directing biopharma engineering assignments through all phases, from concept and design to commissioning, qualification and final delivery. You will devise technical answers to intricate challenges and act as the primary technical liaison for colleagues. Supporting the project manager is essential: you will help shape proposals, define scope, estimate costs, plan resources, produce progress reports and manage the final client transition. In addition, you will take part in refining internal standards and guidelines within your specialty area. The position requires a university degree, either a Bachelor's or Master's, in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Life Sciences or a comparable scientific discipline. A solid grasp of GMP rules and industry norms is mandatory. Candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience, preferably within technical groups of pharmaceutical or biotechnology firms, suppliers, engineering consultancies or similar environments. Fluency in German and a good command of English are essential, as English is the company's working language. Experience in technical organizations is expected, while familiarity with single‑use technologies and French language skills are considered advantageous. The role is based in the German‑speaking part of Switzerland and involves occasional extended stays at client locations. You will work in a collaborative, fast‑moving team that values strong customer focus, adaptability and decisive yet respectful communication. Leadership of client relationships and the ability to keep priorities clear under pressure are key to success.
