GRC Global River Cruises GmbH, part of The Travel Corporation (TTC), manages European river cruise operations for Uniworld Boutique River Cruises and Trafalgar River Cruises. The company is dedicated to delivering exceptional river cruise experiences with a focus on professionalism, care, and sustainable travel. The Head of IT role is crucial for leading the IT department through a phase of growth, ensuring stable and secure digital operations that support both internal users and the luxury guest experience onboard all ships. The Head of IT will oversee the IT infrastructure, ensuring it is stable, secure, and economical. This includes leading and developing the IT team, which currently consists of three people, and managing a network of external partners. The role involves driving the IT strategy in line with group frameworks, identifying opportunities for innovation, and managing IT projects across international sites. Additionally, the Head of IT will act as a key interface for stakeholders and management, manage the IT budget, and ensure information security, data protection, and compliance. To excel in this role, candidates must have several years of experience in IT management or IT project leadership. Strong skills in steering external providers, budgets, and projects are essential, with a background in IT project management being particularly advantageous. The role requires a strategic, entrepreneurial, and communicative approach, along with a solid technical understanding. Business fluency in English is a must. Nice-to-have skills include experience in an SME, growth, or international environment. The role offers a collaborative workplace with short decision-making paths, a high degree of responsibility, and the possibility of remote working. Travel to customers and stakeholders on the ships is also part of the role, providing opportunities for international exposure and cross-functional teamwork.
