Business Analyst Intern

Garda Capital Partners, a multi‑billion‑dollar alternative‑investment firm with more than two decades of experience in relative‑value fixed‑income strategies for institutional clients, is looking for a Business Analyst Intern at its Geneva office. The internship offers exposure to a collaborative environment that emphasizes trust, integrity and mentorship as the firm expands across its global locations. The intern will deliver real‑time and end‑of‑day assistance for portfolio managers, risk teams, middle‑office staff and trading assistants, handling system monitoring tasks such as start‑of‑day checks on market data feeds, risk reports and FIX message flows. Responsibilities also include gathering and analyzing user requirements, partnering with internal technology groups or external vendors to design, test and roll out enhancements, supporting the onboarding of new users, and coordinating user‑focused testing for releases or urgent patches. Candidates should possess a solid grasp of fixed‑income instruments—swaps, bonds, bond futures and options—as well as foreign‑exchange products like forwards, swaps and options. Prior exposure to trading‑assistant, middle‑office or systems‑support roles is preferred. Technical familiarity with market data providers such as Bloomberg, the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues, basic SQL knowledge and experience with job schedulers are considered advantageous. Applicants must be self‑motivated, capable of independent work in a rapid pace, and demonstrate strong communication skills. A master’s degree in a STEM discipline or finance is required, and previous Bloomberg terminal use is a plus.
