Senior Structuring and Pricing Actuary

PartnerRe, a privately held multinational reinsurer renowned for its financial resilience, is expanding its Global Life Financial Solutions unit across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. The firm seeks a Senior Structuring and Pricing Actuary to operate from one of its European hubs, Zurich, Paris, London or Dublin, and to help design and price sophisticated reinsurance offerings that align with client objectives while reinforcing the company's stable market position. In this capacity the incumbent will craft and evaluate risk‑transfer structures, build pricing models, and generate tools that measure profitability of life‑reinsurance deals. Daily tasks involve responding to RFPs, negotiating terms with clients and brokers, preparing internal approval documentation, and delivering presentations both inside the organization and to external stakeholders. The role also supports business development by visiting prospects, showcasing PartnerRe's solutions, and tailoring proposals to specific market needs. The ideal candidate must hold a recognised life‑actuary qualification and bring at least eight years of experience within the financial services sector, preferably focused on actuarial pricing and the construction of bespoke reinsurance contracts. A deep understanding of life and health insurance pricing, coupled with familiarity with accounting frameworks such as USGAAP and IFRS 17, is essential. Mastery of Solvency II requirements is a core prerequisite, as is fluency in English; additional European languages are considered advantageous.
