Bioprocess Engineer DSP

Lonza, a worldwide leader in life‑science solutions, is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Visp, Switzerland. The company invites Bioprocess Engineers to join the Mammalian Business Division, focusing on either upstream or downstream processing for therapeutic protein production. In this position the engineer will guarantee that clinical and commercial manufacturing tasks are completed on schedule while meeting safety and quality criteria. Responsibilities include leading preparation, execution, cleaning and change‑over activities in the assigned area, and overseeing specific downstream steps such as gain, polishing or filling for protein purification. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering or a comparable discipline, or a Bachelor's degree combined with relevant pharma‑production experience. They need at least a couple of years in biomanufacturing, solid familiarity with downstream equipment like chromatography, and a clear understanding of GMP and bioprocess technology. Strong English communication is essential, and German proficiency is considered a plus.
