Lab Technician Biomechanics

Nobel Biocare is a global leader in implant-based dental restorations, dedicated to enhancing patients' quality of life through innovative solutions. The company is seeking a hands-on Lab Technician Biomechanics to join its Experimental Biomechanics team in Zurich. This role involves contributing to the development and verification of innovative medical devices in a modern R&D environment. The Lab Technician Biomechanics will be responsible for conducting mechanical tests, analyzing results, and preparing technical reports. This includes ensuring laboratory equipment is well-maintained and compliant with standards. The role also involves collaborating with multidisciplinary experts, supporting product verification, and maintaining laboratory procedures. Additionally, the technician will assist in failure investigations using optical microscopy and, ideally, scanning electron microscopy (SEM). To excel in this role, candidates must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field. Hands-on experience in mechanical testing and familiarity with ISO standards and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) are essential. Fluency in German and good English communication skills are required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Experience working within interdisciplinary project teams is also necessary. Nice-to-have skills include experience in the medical device industry, materials science, or a related regulated environment. Knowledge of workshop machinery and optical failure analysis is beneficial. Experience with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) is also advantageous.
