Johnson & Johnson is a global healthcare company that develops innovative medicines and medical‑technology solutions, aiming to prevent, treat and cure disease. The role is based in Zug, Switzerland, with remote‑work possibilities evaluated individually. In this position you will direct a team of four professionals and be responsible for delivering cost‑efficiency, quality, innovation and sustainability outcomes that support the company's growth. Daily activities include developing and executing short‑, mid‑ and long‑term sourcing strategies, using market intelligence to spot trends and value‑creation opportunities, and maintaining a prioritized roadmap of initiatives that meet business milestones. You will also lead large, complex procurement projects that align with the overall supply‑chain strategy. A core part of the job is supplier management and contracting. You will build strong relationships with strategic suppliers, oversee selection and due‑diligence processes, and negotiate commercial agreements that balance value, risk and continuity. Partnering with the supply‑chain, quality, regulatory and R&D functions, you will translate stakeholder requirements into actionable sourcing plans, champion sustainable procurement and supplier‑diversity programmes, and manage the full contract lifecycle together with legal teams. Financial stewardship and risk management are also essential. You will deliver cost‑effective sourcing solutions, drive cost avoidance and cash‑flow improvements, ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting, and monitor key performance indicators such as cost avoidance, inflation and cash impact. Identifying commercial, supply, quality and regulatory risks, you will develop contingency plans, ensure compliance with relevant standards, and lead mitigation actions when needed. Continuous improvement is supported by leveraging procurement systems, analytics and digital tools, as well as driving supplier‑led innovation projects from concept through qualification. The role requires a solid academic background and extensive experience. A bachelor's degree in supply‑chain, business, engineering or a related field is mandatory, while an MBA is preferred. At least seven years of procurement or category‑management experience are needed, together with proven expertise in sourcing strategy, supplier management and contract negotiation. Strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills and familiarity with digital and AI‑enabled procurement tools are also required. The position offers an inclusive work environment that values diversity, dignity and individual merit, and provides the chance to contribute to life‑saving innovations on a global scale. What the role asks for: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field - Minimum 7 years procurement or category management experience - Expertise in sourcing strategy, supplier management and contract negotiation - Strong analytical skills - Proficiency in Excel and analytics tools - Familiarity with digital and AI procurement tools - MBA preferred (nice‑to‑have)
