Front of House Trainee

The position of Front of House Trainee is based in the Concierge Department of Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich, a luxury hotel that belongs to the globally recognised Mandarin Oriental brand, known for operating upscale hotels, resorts and residences in prime locations. The hotel sits in the historic Old Town, close to the city’s business centre, leisure sites and a short walk from Lake Zurich, offering 80 rooms and suites together with three dining venues and a recently refurbished event space. In this role you will support the Bell Team throughout each shift, greeting arriving guests, opening car doors and escorting them to the reception area. You will be a visible presence in the lobby, handling luggage delivery at check‑in, collecting it at check‑out, and ensuring guest vehicles are parked securely. Acting as a hotel ambassador, you will engage with guests and colleagues, adhere to the quality, sustainability and FLHSS standards of the Rooms Division, and promote the “Fans of MO” guest‑recognition programme. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a Swiss hotel‑management programme, possesses strong organisational abilities for handling reservations, and can work flexibly, including weekends and holidays. You should demonstrate a clear grasp of luxury service, a willingness to exceed expectations, an expressive and open‑minded attitude, and a collaborative spirit. Fluency in German and English is required, while additional language skills are considered beneficial.
