EMSR / Electrical Engineer (m/f/d)

Syngenta Crop Protection, a global leader in sustainable agriculture headquartered in Switzerland, is looking for an EMSR / Electrical Engineer to join its multipurpose production site in Muttenz. The role focuses on planning and delivering investment projects that involve electrical and instrumentation installations, ensuring they meet cost, schedule, quality and functional targets while supporting the company’s mission to protect crops and the environment. On a daily basis the engineer will act as the EMSRT specialist for local engineering, establishing standards for capital and internal projects and providing technical guidance on electrical, pneumatic and sensor systems. Responsibilities include defining and monitoring engineering specifications, overseeing design and procurement compliance, and managing smaller capital‑expenditure and operational‑expenditure projects on site. The position also requires evaluating existing equipment, creating scope‑cost‑requirement documents, releasing installations, and troubleshooting software or hardware issues, with particular attention to SIS hardware and industrial fieldbus networks. Candidates must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related field and possess solid experience with DeltaV and Siemens control platforms. Several years of industrial experience, a high proficiency in German and at least conversational English, and a willingness to work in a chemical production setting are essential. The job also calls for precise work habits, entrepreneurial thinking, stress resilience and flexibility. Additional assets include experience in agro‑chemical, pharmaceutical or chemical industries, familiarity with COMOS, knowledge of fieldbus systems such as Profibus, HART or Foundation Fieldbus, and a background in leading external partners.
