Quantitative Researcher – Metals – Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is a global, data‑driven investment manager that applies systematic, scientific methods across all liquid asset classes. The team blends research, technology and trading expertise to generate high‑quality returns for investors worldwide. In this position you will turn fundamental and quantitative insights into trade‑ready signals. Daily tasks involve extracting statistical patterns from extensive, diverse data sets, building predictive models, creating dashboards, and integrating the resulting signals into QRT’s global execution platform. You will also monitor model performance over time, discuss findings with fellow researchers, and oversee the full research cycle from idea generation to implementation. The role requires an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as data science, statistics, mathematics, physics or engineering. You must possess strong expertise in statistics, machine learning, NLP or AI, and be proficient in at least one leading programming language (Python, R, Matlab, C++ or C#). The ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail is essential, as is the capacity to work autonomously within a collaborative setting. Effective communication with technologists, data scientists and traders across the globe is a must, together with a proven track record of delivering successful systematic strategies. While not required, knowledge of major Asian languages and experience handling large, multi‑time‑frame data sets are considered advantageous.
