The firm is looking for a Lead Accountant who will take full ownership of financial reporting, month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closings, as well as internal controls for its Swiss entities. The role starts in January 2027 and will be based primarily in Visp (at least three days a week) with the remaining time spent in Basel, covering 80 % to 100 % of a full‑time schedule. On a daily basis the Lead Accountant will manage the complete closing cycle for the Visp entity under Swiss CO, support group consolidation, and act as the main contact for statutory auditors while coordinating audit activities. The position also requires monitoring VAT and tax obligations, preparing returns and collaborating with external advisors and counterparts in other legal entities to ensure Swiss compliance. In addition, the accountant will design, implement and continuously improve the internal control system, documenting risk‑control matrices, defining key controls and segregation of duties, and maintaining the accounting policies and manual. The role includes ownership of the ERP landscape, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, where the incumbent will steer enhancements to the record‑to‑report process, prioritize automation projects and work with the ERP partner to deliver them. A binding closing calendar and performance KPIs for speed and quality will be established under this remit.
