Systems Engineer (Optics)

To qualify, candidates must have a Master's degree from ETH, FH, or an equivalent institution in physics, optics, photonics, engineering, or a related technical field. At least three years of relevant professional experience in optical product development and systems engineering is required. Strong knowledge of optical systems and their interaction with mechanical, electronic, and software components is essential. Experience in optical design and familiarity with binoculars, laser range finders, or similar electro-optical systems is highly desirable. Nice-to-have skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to understand complex technical interdependencies and drive solutions. Knowledge of systems engineering methods, such as the V-model, and requirements engineering is also beneficial. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are crucial. Fluency in English is a must, with German being an additional asset.
