Technical Project Engineer

The Technical Project Engineer will join an award‑winning Swiss cleantech firm that is advancing next‑generation plastic recycling. The company, founded in 2020, combines scientists, engineers and innovators to turn novel recycling concepts into industrial reality, moving from a pilot plant to full‑scale deployment. In this role you will steer technology development projects from early research through to manufacturing scale‑up. You will translate market and customer needs into measurable engineering specifications, coordinate multidisciplinary teams across R&D, engineering, production and quality, and oversee the validation of solutions from lab tests to pilot and commercial production. Managing suppliers, manufacturing partners and external contractors, you will define priorities, timelines and resource plans, act as the central technical liaison, and ensure steady progress toward technical and commercial milestones. Mentoring junior engineers or technicians may also be part of the job. The position requires a graduate degree in chemical, process, mechanical, industrial engineering or a related field, together with five to eight years of experience in industrial, manufacturing or technology‑driven settings. Candidates must have a proven track record of coordinating technical development projects with multiple stakeholders, strong project and partner management skills, and experience with product, process or equipment scale‑up. Fluency in English is mandatory; French is advantageous. Applicants need a Swiss work permit or eligibility to work in Switzerland. Preferred attributes include prior work with suppliers, manufacturers or engineering contractors, the ability to navigate matrix organisations without direct authority, and a collaborative, hands‑on mindset focused on execution. The role offers a dynamic, international environment, high autonomy, flexible hybrid work, rapid growth opportunities and the chance to make a measurable environmental impact.
