Workshop Coordinator

The Destinus team in Payerne is seeking a hands‑on Workshop Coordinator to keep its R&D workshop operating efficiently, covering everything from work preparation to warehouse and logistics management. The position sits at the heart of a broad operational function that links incoming deliveries with the final parts leaving the shop, ideal for someone comfortable at a bench, a stock shelf, or a planning board. Day‑to‑day duties include overseeing the workshop stores and warehouse by receiving goods, maintaining material and tooling inventories, and keeping accurate records in the ERP system. The coordinator also arranges site logistics, liaising with suppliers and carriers to ensure a smooth flow of components between internal teams and external partners. Planning manufacturing activities involves reviewing technical drawings, defining operation sequences, drafting work instructions, and confirming that all required items are ready before production starts. Additional tasks cover tool inventory management, scheduling equipment maintenance, maintaining a tidy production floor, and stepping in to set up machines or assist technicians when needed. The role also requires assessing the manufacturability of new parts, flagging potential risks, and supporting the hand‑over of new components into series production, while continuously updating production and logistics data for reporting purposes. Candidates must hold a completed vocational qualification as a polymechanic, machinist or equivalent (EFZ or comparable) and possess at least three years of diverse operational experience covering a minimum of two areas among work preparation, warehouse and logistics, or production floor work. A practical, hands‑on mindset, solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, technical drawings, machining tolerances, and proficiency with ERP systems for inventory and production tracking are required. The applicant should be organized, self‑reliant, able to juggle
