The role of Junior Compliance Officer, Employee related Conflicts at Julius Baer involves overseeing various compliance areas, including Mandates, Secondary Occupations, and Substantial Shareholdings; Gifts and Hospitality; and Conflicts of Interest. The main day-to-day responsibilities include managing and developing compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures for Mandates and Secondary Occupations, Gifts and Entertainment, and Conflicts of Interest. The role also involves serving as the primary contact for employees and internal stakeholders, coordinating global alignment, and delivering relevant training. Additionally, the Compliance Officer will execute and monitor day-to-day compliance processes, including reviews, control execution, reporting, and ad-hoc investigations. They will also track regulatory developments and industry standards, implementing appropriate measures to ensure ongoing framework effectiveness. Contributing to compliance-related projects and supporting initiatives focused on process digitalization and continuous improvement is also part of the role. To qualify for this position, candidates must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Banking in Compliance is required, with international private banking experience being preferred. Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a must-have requirement. Knowledge of German and other languages is considered an advantage. Nice-to-have skills include a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
