BESS Project Engineer

The BESS Project Engineer will work at enshift, a company dedicated to providing sustainable technological solutions for the energy transition. enshift's digital platform supports the planning, tendering, and implementation of renewable energy systems for real estate and industrial companies, enhancing their economic efficiency and CO2 balance while minimizing risks. The BESS Project Engineer will focus on analyzing energy data, developing AI-based price and energy forecasts, and generating actionable insights from operational and financial performance data. Key responsibilities include assessing and documenting battery potential, conducting feasibility studies, developing battery concepts, managing projects from initial assessment to commissioning, and coordinating with various stakeholders. The role also involves defining requirements for BESS, EMS, and medium-voltage station solutions, and establishing repeatable processes for battery projects. Candidates must have a technical university degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, or a related field, along with professional experience in renewable-energy, electrical-infrastructure, or energy-storage projects. A good understanding of electrical systems, grid connections, and technical project delivery is essential. Fluency in German and English is required. Experience with BESS, medium-voltage systems, EMS integration, or project commissioning is advantageous.
