Client Portfolio Manager for Discretionary Mandates

Vontobel is seeking a Client Portfolio Manager for Discretionary Mandates to become the primary contact and specialist for its discretionary portfolio management (DPM) offering within the Private Clients division. The role sits at the intersection of relationship management and investment expertise, supporting relationship managers in designing both standard and bespoke multi‑asset solutions for high‑net‑worth clients across Switzerland, including the French‑speaking region. On a daily basis the manager will prepare investment proposals and pitch materials, co‑lead client meetings with relationship managers, and act as the go‑to source for macro‑economic views, portfolio positioning and performance development. Responsibilities also include producing monthly performance updates for internal portfolio managers, overseeing dedicated special mandates, and collaborating closely with the respective portfolio manager to ensure seamless execution. The position requires a university degree in finance and at least five years of experience advising internal or external clients on investment solutions. Candidates must demonstrate deep knowledge of financial markets, instruments, portfolio management and investments, as well as excellent written and verbal communication in French, German and English. Strong analytical abilities, effective client presentation skills, and the capacity to tailor communication to varied audiences are essential.
