Manager Financial Services Consulting

PwC's Financial Services Strategy & Transformation practice in Zurich is looking for a Manager to help leading banks, asset managers, insurers and other financial institutions tackle their most pressing strategic and transformation challenges. The role sits within a global consulting firm and focuses on delivering end‑to‑end solutions across the full financial services value chain, from portfolio management to the underlying technology platforms. On a daily basis the Manager will own specific workstreams, analyse client situations, structure complex problems and craft pragmatic recommendations that can be turned into concrete actions. The position involves close collaboration with client senior leaders and internal project teams, coordinating tasks, managing stakeholders and ensuring high‑quality delivery. In addition, the Manager will guide smaller teams, support senior staff on large‑scale programmes and contribute to business‑development activities such as market research, proposal writing and thought‑leadership pieces. The profile required a master‑level (or equivalent) university degree in finance, economics, business administration, information technology or a closely related discipline. Candidates must bring at least six years of experience within the financial services sector, preferably combined with a background in management consulting for financial‑services clients. A proven record of leading transformation workstreams, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and excellent English communication skills are essential. The role also expects solid project and stakeholder management capabilities and a proactive, self‑starting attitude. While fluency in English is mandatory, German language skills are considered a strong advantage, and additional languages such as French are welcomed. An interest in, or experience with, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies is valued, as the team works closely with specialists in big‑data analytics, AI and robotic process automation.
