Structural Engineer

Santiago Calatrava, a leading international practice, is looking for seasoned Structural Engineers to join its Zurich head office and contribute to distinctive building and bridge projects worldwide. The position covers the full design cycle, from conceptual structural schemes in concrete, steel and timber to detailed technical project management. Daily tasks involve creating structural models, coordinating construction drawings, liaising with other disciplines, preparing reports and tender documents, and presenting design outcomes. Depending on the candidate's background, responsibilities may also extend to client and stakeholder management. Applicants must hold a university degree in Structural or Civil Engineering and bring at least five years of post‑graduate experience. Professional accreditation as a Chartered or Professional Engineer, or progress toward such status, is required. Proven involvement in medium‑ to large‑scale building or bridge projects, especially from concept through on‑site construction, and demonstrated ability to work with other consultants are essential. Fluency in English and/or German, eligibility to work in Switzerland, and solid skills in FEM modelling software are also mandatory.
