Senior HR Manager, Switzerland and France

The position of Senior HR Manager for Switzerland and France sits within a prominent multinational firm that operates widely across Europe, offering a strategic partner role that bridges people initiatives with the company’s broader goals. Reporting to senior leadership, the incumbent will act as the principal HR advisor for the two markets, shaping policies and practices that support growth and performance. Each day will involve aligning workforce plans with business targets, guiding senior managers on organisational design, succession and leadership development, and steering complex employee‑relations matters such as performance reviews, disciplinary actions, investigations and conflict resolution. The role also covers overseeing recruitment for critical roles, managing compensation and bonus cycles, ensuring compliance with Swiss labour statutes, assisting the French entity alongside external counsel, and contributing to regional and global HR projects that enhance culture, wellbeing and diversity. Candidates must bring at least eight years of advancing HR experience, preferably inside international, matrix‑structured organisations, with a proven record of partnering senior stakeholders and handling employee‑relations and employment‑law issues. A solid grasp of Swiss labour law is required, while familiarity with French employment practices is highly valued. The ideal profile includes a university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field, fluency in English and French, and strong commercial insight, stakeholder‑influence abilities, and the capacity to coach, communicate and solve problems independently. An HR certification such as HRSE adds extra merit. Additional assets comprise knowledge of French labour regulations, other European language skills and a passion for driving continuous improvement in HR processes. The role is full‑time, based across the Swiss and French markets, and offers the chance to work autonomously while building influential partnerships throughout the organisation.
