Senior Security Assurance Solutions Architect, AWS Security Assurance Services

The Senior Security Assurance Solutions Architect joins Amazon Web Services’ Security Assurance Services team, a group that builds scalable security solutions for both internal and external customers and helps the world’s largest enterprises move workloads to the cloud while meeting regulatory demands. The role sits at the crossroads of cloud, cyber‑security and compliance, and its purpose is to expand the practice, educate customers on AWS‑based services, and demonstrate that compliance objectives can be achieved on the platform. Day‑to‑day, the architect leads mixed teams of Amazonians, partners and customers to strengthen security‑assurance and compliance programs. They design novel approaches to risk and compliance that enable faster migration of sensitive data, respond to security‑assurance inquiries, and guide customers through deep‑dive discussions, strategic presentations and hands‑on demos that automate compliance within AWS. The position also gathers feedback from partners and customers to inform AWS engineering and product roadmaps, and includes travel to customer sites when required. The role requires a proven leader in governance, risk and compliance who can address the challenges of cloud migration and advise executives on enterprise risk management using highly scalable architectures. Candidates must be comfortable translating a broad set of compliance requirements into practical, scalable solutions and communicating effectively at all organizational levels while steering cross‑functional teams.
