Internship - Perfusion metabolic flux analysis (m/f/d)

The intern will join the Global Drug Substance Development team, collaborating with scientists to support the production of new biological therapeutics. The main day-to-day responsibilities include understanding cell metabolism and developing a perfusion platform process. This involves improving media in deep well plates and bioreactors, reviewing current knowledge in cell metabolism, and proposing new chemical formulations for media. The intern will also program and use robotic platforms to screen various medium formulations, evaluate their performance in cell culture, and work independently in the lab. Additionally, the intern will participate in experimental design, analyze and present data, and write a comprehensive report to conclude the internship. To qualify, candidates must have a background in a relevant scientific field, with a focus on cell metabolism and medium development. Proficiency in using robotic platforms and experience with cell culture techniques are essential. The internship requires a strong understanding of experimental design and data analysis. Fluency in English is necessary for effective communication and collaboration within the team. Nice-to-have skills include experience with deep well plates and bioreactors, as well as familiarity with laminar flow hoods and in-process control.
