The Senior Programme Manager, Gender Equality will oversee a short‑term, three‑month assignment for an international body headquartered in Geneva. The position is responsible for steering a suite of globally‑funded initiatives that advance gender‑focused outcomes, while liaising with a wide network of partners and donors. Day‑to‑day duties involve orchestrating multiple funded projects, tracking milestones, budgets and timelines, and ensuring partners fulfil contractual, financial and reporting duties. The role also handles grant‑related processes such as partner onboarding, due‑diligence, contract administration and expenditure monitoring, working closely with internal support teams. Regular governance meetings are arranged, briefing notes prepared, and key decisions recorded. The manager facilitates collaboration among programme staff, consultants and funders, and keeps all audiences informed of progress, risks and achievements. In addition, they assist with data gathering, analysis of results, documentation of lessons learned and the production of hand‑over materials. The ideal candidate holds a university qualification in International Relations, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Sciences or a comparable field, or possesses equivalent professional experience. They must have a demonstrable record of managing complex programmes, projects or funding portfolios, with solid expertise in stakeholder engagement, cross‑functional coordination and oversight of budgets, contracts and procurement. Fluency in English is essential, and the applicant should exhibit strong project‑management abilities, meticulous organisational skills, the capacity to juggle competing priorities, clear communication, a solution‑focused analytical mindset and a high degree of professionalism. The contract is full‑time for three months and offers the chance to work within a respected multinational environment in Geneva, collaborating with a diverse set of international actors.
