Downstream Biomanufacturing Process Expert

UCB is launching a major investment in a new biologics manufacturing campus in Georgia, USA, to expand its global supply network and bring innovative treatments to patients worldwide. The Downstream Biomanufacturing Process Expert will join the internal manufacturing team located at UCB’s campus in Bulle, Switzerland, and will help shape this future‑ready facility from concept through launch. In this position you will act as the voice of manufacturing within the project, feeding end‑user insights into design choices and translating operational needs into concrete project inputs. Your work will aim to guarantee that the plant is built for safe, high‑quality and efficient commercial production. Daily activities involve close collaboration with manufacturing peers, global cross‑functional partners and project stakeholders, often across different time zones, to ensure that operational requirements are reflected in design decisions and aligned with long‑term business goals. The role offers the chance to work on a greenfield initiative alongside a diverse international team spanning the United States and Europe. The group blends deep operational expertise with technical knowledge and a collaborative mindset, supporting sustainability, digital innovation and operational excellence throughout the project.
