The Field Service Technician for Laboratory Instruments will be responsible for on-site service tasks, including preventive maintenance, calibration, installation, and customer training for laboratory and process instrumentation. This role involves planning and executing maintenance and repair work, as well as installations and GMP qualifications for customers in the pharmaceutical and beverage industries. The technician will also prepare maintenance reports, qualification documentation, quotations, and cost estimates, and provide technical sales support and customer consultancy. Additionally, the role includes carrying out in-house repairs. To qualify for this position, candidates must have a qualification as an Automation Technician, Electromechanical Technician, or Electrical Engineering Technician, with further education as a Higher Technical College (HF) Technician being ideal. Previous experience in servicing laboratory instruments is preferred. A valid Category B driving licence is required. Language proficiency in French and good German skills are mandatory, with English being an advantage. Nice-to-have skills include the ability to work independently and in a goal-oriented manner, as well as strong autonomous planning and organization of service assignments. A customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of business responsibility, excellent communication skills, and a confident professional presence are also valued. The role requires a high level of commitment and the ability to work effectively in a team, along with a willingness to travel within Switzerland. The position is based in Western Switzerland and offers an interesting and secure role within an innovative and internationally renowned company.
