Global Head Procurement Equipment (gn)

The Global Head Procurement Equipment role at Oerlikon will lead the development and execution of the OSS equipment procurement policy and strategy, aligning with segment management and group directives. The position is based in Wohlen (AG) and will move to the new Hausen (AG) production and technology centre for thermal coating in 2027. Key day‑to‑day duties include implementing group directives for direct materials, e‑procurement, supplier quality, tools and systems; managing and further developing a high‑performing procurement organisation; establishing and overseeing global category‑management teams; ensuring optimal use of e‑procurement platforms; defining, harmonising and optimising purchasing processes; setting and monitoring purchasing targets; and carrying overall cost responsibility for the procurement department. The ideal candidate holds a technical or business degree with professional training in purchasing or supply‑chain management, and has at least five years of industry and management experience, including three years in a comparable procurement function. They demonstrate strong methodological competence, have worked in complex matrix organisations, and possess long‑term experience with modern ERP systems such as SAP. Business‑level fluency in English and conversational German are required.
