QC Analytical Project Manager

The role of QC Analytical Project Manager at Bachem involves coordinating analytical activities throughout the project lifecycle. Bachem is a leading company in the development and manufacture of peptides and oligonucleotides for the pharmaceutical industry. The position is based in Vionnaz, Valais, Switzerland, and requires a full-time commitment. The main day-to-day responsibilities include acting as the primary QC Analytical Operations representative within cross-functional project teams. This involves leading and coordinating various analytical activities, such as release testing, stability studies, API characterization, method development, validation, and specification setting. The role also entails managing analytical transfers to internal departments, manufacturing sites, and external partners, as well as evaluating complex analytical data and providing scientific recommendations. Additionally, the position requires monitoring project timelines, budgets, resources, quality events, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls. Organizing and facilitating project meetings to ensure effective collaboration between internal and external partners is also a key responsibility. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent industrial experience. Proven experience in project management within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment is essential. A strong understanding of analytical methods, method development, validation, and international pharmacopoeias is required. Good knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and quality systems is also necessary. The ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and successfully manage cross-functional projects is crucial. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills are must-haves. Nice-to-have skills include experience with LIMS, CDS, MasterControl, and SAP.
