IT/OT Network & Infrastructure Engineer

Proclinical is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and governance of network architectures within a dynamic project environment. The role involves integrating IT and OT systems to ensure secure and scalable infrastructure solutions, aligning with global standards. The main day-to-day responsibilities include defining and overseeing network architectures for enterprise and industrial environments, ensuring alignment with global IT-OT standards. This involves designing and implementing segmented IT-OT architecture zones, including DMZs, VLANs, and secure data flows. The engineer will also act as the primary infrastructure lead, coordinating network and hosting activities to ensure infrastructure readiness and support project milestones. Additionally, the role includes supporting site deployment activities, coordinating integration of on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based network and hosting platforms, and overseeing external service providers to ensure quality and compliance. To qualify for this role, candidates must have expertise in network architecture and infrastructure design, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, and network security. Experience in IT-OT integration and segmentation concepts, with a track record of delivering large-scale projects, is essential. Knowledge of GxP-regulated environments and compliance requirements, as well as familiarity with IT service management, incident/problem management, and operations governance, is also required. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and German language skills are a plus. Candidates must have the right to work in the location or hold an EU passport.
