Workflow Architect (m/f/d)

Bruker, a global supplier of advanced scientific instruments and analytical solutions, is looking for a Workflow Architect to join its team. The position sits within Chemspeed Technologies AG, now part of the Bruker group, and focuses on delivering automated laboratory concepts that help customers accelerate research in chemistry, biology, and material science. In this role you will act as the technical liaison for clients, showcasing Chemspeed's automation platforms through realistic use‑case demonstrations. Your daily tasks include dissecting customer processes, designing tailored automation proposals, and preparing cost estimates. You will also serve as the primary contact for the client's internal champion, helping to craft a rollout plan for high‑throughput methods across the organization. Collaboration with R&D will be essential to refine requirements, shape custom solutions, and oversee pilot tests or proof‑of‑concept activities. You will hand over detailed specifications to project managers and contribute to market scouting aligned with corporate strategy. The ideal candidate holds a university or technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Hands‑on experience with laboratory automation hardware, such as parallel synthesis rigs or liquid‑handling devices, and routine upkeep of lab equipment is required. You must possess a strong technical mindset that enables rapid comprehension and clear explanation of complex scientific and automation topics. Proven ability to translate client workflows into innovative automation designs, coupled with solid presentation and relationship‑building skills, is essential. Managing several projects at once, navigating priorities, and delivering results are expected. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a general comfort with IT tools are mandatory. Fluent written and spoken English is a must; additional language abilities are considered a plus. Beneficial, though not compulsory, experience includes working with customer‑relationship‑management software and familiarity with marketing or publishing applications.
