Senior Java Developer

The vacancy is for a Senior Java Developer who will join Fincons' Agile Release Train operating under the Scaled Agile Framework. The daily work centers on designing, coding, integrating and testing Java‑based backend components, micro‑service architectures and RESTful APIs for CRM‑related projects. The developer will act as a subject‑matter expert, supporting the full lifecycle of Java solutions, and will collaborate closely with product owners and Agile team members to translate business requirements into technical designs. Secure‑coding practices must be applied to meet regulatory standards, and the role includes bug‑fixing and the delivery of transversal features across the enterprise system. The position requires a university degree in computer science or engineering and at least five years of professional experience developing Java applications, specifically Java 21 or newer, with solid use of Stream, Lambda and try‑with‑resources constructs. Proficiency in recent versions of Angular is mandatory, as is deep knowledge of micro‑service architecture and hands‑on expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Data and REST API design. Candidates must master JPA/Hibernate, including entity modelling and query optimisation, and be comfortable with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases. Version control with Git, CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, and familiarity with SwaggerHub for API payload handling are also required. Testing skills are important: the role expects competence in JUnit and test‑driven development, while experience with behavior‑driven development using Cucumber is considered a plus. The candidate must be fluent in both Italian and English and have proven experience working in Agile and SAFe environments. Relocation to Canton Ticino in Switzerland or to nearby Italian border areas such as Como is expected; occasional home‑office days may be arranged according to the client's policy.
