KYC & Client Onboarding Officer – First Line of Defence

The position of KYC & Client Onboarding Officer sits at the front line of defence within a leading financial‑services organisation. You will partner with the Front Office, clients, AML teams and other internal groups to ensure that onboarding, account opening and ongoing KYC reviews are carried out smoothly, compliantly and with a client‑centric focus. On a daily basis you will support Front Office staff during new client onboarding and account maintenance, guide both clients and bankers through the documentation required for opening accounts, and monitor the quality of KYC reviews performed by the Front Office. You will also make sure that all onboarding steps follow internal policies and regulatory standards, and you will act as the point of contact for any queries that arise, coordinating with AML and other stakeholders to resolve issues promptly. The role requires at least three years of experience in financial services, specifically in client onboarding, KYC review and account upkeep. You must possess solid knowledge of KYC standards, client documentation expectations and banking regulations, and have a proven track record of interacting effectively with Front Office teams, clients and internal partners. The ability to juggle several priorities while maintaining meticulous accuracy is essential, as is demonstrated competence in using AI tools to improve productivity while applying responsible and ethical judgment.
