iBMi (ISeries) System Administator

The company is now seeking an IBM i (iSeries) System Administrator to join their team in London or Basildon. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and supporting large IBM i environments, ensuring system stability, performance, and security. This will involve performing operating system upgrades, managing Program Temporary Fixes, and monitoring system performance to proactively identify and resolve issues. The role will also entail managing backup and recovery operations, configuring LPAR environments, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and infrastructure-related issues. To be considered for this role, candidates must have at least 2 years of IBM i system administration experience, with a strong understanding of IBM Power Systems architecture and core IBM i technologies. They must also be familiar with IBM i OS upgrades, PTF management, security administration, and performance tuning. Experience with BRMS or equivalent backup and recovery solutions, as well as disaster recovery planning and testing, is also required.
