Everllence is a global engineering firm that helps customers move toward a carbon‑neutral future. The company works across marine, energy and industrial markets, improving efficiency at a systemic level. With a heritage of more than two and a half centuries, it employs roughly 15,000 people at over 120 sites worldwide. The position is based in Zurich‑West, Switzerland, and reports to the heat‑pump division. The team lead will manage a group of senior development engineers, encouraging collaboration and professional growth while providing technical guidance on high‑speed motor and heat‑pump projects. Responsibilities include overseeing the full technical development and industrialisation of large‑scale heat‑pump products, driving modular design, platform strategies and supply‑chain readiness. The role also defines and executes the R&D roadmap for district‑heating solutions, aligns product evolution with market needs, and coordinates cross‑site projects with product management, manufacturing and procurement. Additionally, the leader will handle budgeting, risk management and stakeholder communication, and will represent Everllence at conferences and in partnerships with universities and research institutes. Candidates must hold a master's degree in engineering or an equivalent technical qualification, preferably in plant, system or mechanical engineering. At least ten years of experience in a development environment, ideally within heat‑pump or plant engineering, is required. Proven ability to lead and develop highly skilled experts is essential, as is deep expertise in the design, modularisation and standardisation of industrial heat‑pump systems, including layout and process calculations for various refrigerants. A solid network in the heat‑pump sector, strong organisational skills to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, and clear, confident communication in both German and English are also mandatory. The role offers a prime Zurich location with easy access and a vibrant office atmosphere. Flexible working hours support a healthy work‑life balance, and family‑friendly benefits are available. Everllence provides comprehensive social security, occupational health services, and opportunities for international assignments. Continuous learning is encouraged through job rotations, cross‑functional projects and professional development programmes. What the role asks for: - Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent - Minimum 10 years development experience, preferably heat pumps - Proven ability to lead and develop expert teams - Deep knowledge of large‑scale heat pump design and modularisation - Expertise in layout and process calculations with multiple refrigerants - Established network within the heat‑pump industry - Strong skill in structuring complex topics and setting priorities - Fluency in German (written and spoken) - Fluency in English (written and spoken) - Nice‑to‑have: background in electrical or control systems engineering - Nice‑to‑have: experience collaborating with universities or research institutes
