Clinical Psychology Intern

The position of Clinical Psychology Intern places you within Overcome, a United Kingdom‑registered charity that delivers digital mental‑health support to people in low‑resource settings around the world. The programme is designed to give emerging practitioners a solid foundation in therapeutic practice and to prepare them for future roles in psychology, coaching, psychotherapy or counselling. During the first month you will undergo an intensive virtual training block that covers a range of evidence‑based approaches, including motivational interviewing, coaching methods, cognitive‑behavioural techniques and acceptance‑commitment strategies. After this foundation, you will spend the remaining two months conducting individual remote sessions with clients, initially focusing on lifestyle adjustments such as sleep or procrastination, then moving to support for depressive or anxious symptoms. You will keep detailed notes of each encounter, join weekly supervision with a Kenyan counselling psychologist, and attend a monthly review with a UK‑accredited counsellor.
