Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Precision Machining)

Gramian Consultancy is a boutique firm that provides IT professional services and engineering talent solutions. They are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a client that is an established industrial manufacturer operating in a technically demanding production setting. The position concentrates on enhancing and modernising manufacturing operations, especially in the area of precision machining. In this role you will refine precision‑machining processes and production flows, aid the creation and rollout of new production cells, and take part in Lean and continuous‑improvement programmes. You will also back decisions on equipment and tooling, optimise factory layouts and material flow, and design and validate fixtures and tooling concepts. Further duties include improving CNC programming logic, coordinating technical work between production and engineering, and supporting industrialisation and performance‑boosting projects. The preferred candidate brings over a decade of experience in industrial production and at least five years in manufacturing engineering or a closely related field. Hands‑on expertise with precision‑machining tools such as lathes, milling centres and grinding machines is essential. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline is required, together with full professional fluency in French. Proven knowledge of Lean/continuous‑improvement methods, equipment and tooling optimisation, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams are also needed. The job is a permanent, full‑time position based on‑site in the Jura canton of Switzerland, involving close cooperation with production, engineering and industrialisation groups.
