The role of a Private Equity Analyst Program participant within the Investment Team at LGT Capital Partners is designed for early-career professionals aiming to build a long-term career in private equity. The program spans two years, beginning with a three-week tailored training module and continuing with hands-on learning and structured on-the-job development. Successful participants may transition into an Associate role at LGT Capital Partners. The main day-to-day responsibilities include conducting extensive financial, market, and business due diligence, preparing investment memoranda and research materials, and contributing to investment committee and team discussions. Analysts will also support project management from initial screening through to final completion, including legal negotiations. They will assess portfolio companies using quantitative modeling and comparable company analysis, benchmark private equity fund managers, and monitor the performance of existing portfolio and investments. Additionally, they will proactively identify new investment opportunities and prepare market research and client-facing analyses. To qualify, candidates must have strong academic credentials from a leading university at the Bachelor or Master level in business, economics, finance, accounting, or other quantitative degrees. Prior internship experience in finance, investment banking, private equity, or consulting is advantageous. A solid understanding of financial statements and fundamental business analysis is required, along with a motivation to develop expertise in private equity and investment analysis. Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory, with additional languages being a plus. Candidates should also possess a collaborative, curious, organized, and entrepreneurial mindset. Nice-to-have skills include additional languages beyond English. The role is based in either Switzerland near Zurich or London, offering a diverse and multicultural working environment.
