Accountant

ANAVIA, a fast‑growing player in unmanned aviation, is looking for an Accountant to join its finance function and help drive the company’s expansion. The position sits within a dynamic, international environment where the finance team supports the broader business strategy. The daily work involves independently handling the full spectrum of accounting tasks: verifying, coding and posting supplier invoices, issuing customer invoices and tracking payments, and recording all financial movements in the general ledger. You will prepare journal entries, manage periodic accruals, and reconcile bank, receivable, payable and balance‑sheet accounts. Maintaining the fixed‑asset register, processing depreciation, filing VAT returns and assisting with statutory reporting are also required. The role supports month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closures, contributes to management reports and financial dashboards, analyses results and KPIs, and oversees internal cost allocations, variance tracking and cost‑control initiatives. Additional duties include acting as the finance contact for other ANAVIA departments, supporting internal and external audits, helping digitise finance processes and performing general administrative tasks. Candidates must have completed a commercial vocational training programme complemented by further finance or accounting education, or hold an equivalent qualification. Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting are essential, together with solid knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general‑ledger accounting, and familiarity with month‑end and year‑end closing. Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken, is required, as is a meticulous, organized and proactive work style, high integrity and the ability to handle confidential information. Applicants need a valid Swiss work permit, EU nationality or Swiss citizenship. Experience in cost accounting, cost‑center reporting and budgeting is considered advantageous.
