Internship : Robotics & Physical AI

The role is an internship focused on Robotics & Physical AI at MESH, a company specializing in autonomous robotic systems for the construction industry. MESH develops solutions that automate the planning, handling, and assembly of reinforcement, leveraging robotics, AI, software, mechanical engineering, and digital fabrication to create industrial products used globally. The main day-to-day responsibilities involve contributing to the development of intelligent robotic systems. This includes working on projects such as 3D perception using industrial depth cameras, multi-sensor calibration, point cloud processing, and 3D scene understanding. Other tasks may involve foundation models, robotic grasping, motion planning, reinforcement learning, robot simulation, data collection, and the deployment of AI models with industrial robotic systems. To qualify, candidates must be pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong interest in robotics, perception, or machine learning. Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ are essential, along with familiarity with Linux and Git. Good English communication skills are also required. Nice-to-have skills include experience with ROS / ROS 2, PyTorch, and 3D vision libraries like OpenCV, Open3D, or PCL. Knowledge of robot kinematics, dynamics, and motion planning is beneficial. Experience with robot simulation tools like Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or Gazebo, as well as CUDA / GPU programming, is also valued. Additionally, experience with industrial robots and proficiency in German, Italian, or French are considered assets. The internship is based in Switzerland, and applicants must be legally authorized to work there or eligible to obtain the required Swiss work authorization without employer-sponsored visa support.
