Medical Sensor Development Internship

Sentec is a Swiss-American medical device company focused on respiratory care. The company develops and manufactures advanced technology for complex respiratory patients, using a variety of technologies in their transcutaneous sensors. The Medical Sensor Development Internship role involves working on these innovative products. The main day-to-day responsibilities include hands-on work with transcutaneous monitoring systems, building and testing sensor prototypes, and designing experiments to address key questions in product development. The intern will also collect and analyze data, and present findings to the team. To qualify for this role, candidates must be working towards or have recently graduated with a bachelor's or master's degree in fields such as biomedical engineering or material science. Strong English language skills, both spoken and written, are essential. Conversational German is a plus. The role requires the ability to carry out careful experimental work and thorough data analysis. The internship offers the opportunity to work in a truly interdisciplinary environment with a flat hierarchy, allowing for meaningful contributions and decision-making. The location is on-site at the Swiss Headquarters in Therwil, approximately 30 minutes from Basel SBB. The internship is full-time and lasts for 6 or 12 months, starting between November 2026 and March 2027.
