Field Services Engineer

SolarEdge, a worldwide provider of intelligent energy solutions, designs and manufactures solar inverters, battery storage, backup units, electric‑vehicle chargers and AI‑driven management software. The Field Services Engineer position is based in Switzerland and focuses on delivering on‑site support to ensure optimal operation of SolarEdge installations. The daily work involves setting up and commissioning photovoltaic systems for both residential and commercial clients, carrying out independent maintenance, repairs and service tasks, and providing hands‑on training at customer locations. The engineer serves as the primary technical liaison for selected accounts in the Swiss Romandie area, works closely with the Technical Support team to resolve field issues, and regularly prepares and shares performance analyses to help refine processes and products. Applicants must hold a relevant qualification in electrical or electronic engineering or an equivalent background, demonstrate a solid passion for solar technology, and possess three to five years of experience in roles that involve direct interaction with customers. Fluency in spoken and written French and English is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to travel to sites throughout Switzerland and, on occasion, to southeastern France or Belgium. Additional assets include knowledge of German, prior exposure to the solar sector, and a collaborative mindset that fits a fast‑moving, multidisciplinary environment.
