The company, with over 150 employees and 1,500 customers, is seeking a Sensor Validation & Calibration Engineer to join their team in Lausanne. The main responsibilities of the Sensor Validation & Calibration Engineer include designing and building calibration benches for various sensors, running test campaigns, and analyzing flight-test data. The role involves working closely with mechanical and electronics teams to ensure sensors perform as specified in different environments. The engineer will also be responsible for defining and running test plans, owning calibration procedures, and transferring these processes to manufacturing. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Robotics, or a related field. Additionally, 5+ years of experience in sensor test, calibration, metrology, or system validation is required, including at least one calibration or test bench delivered into production. Proficiency in Python for data acquisition, analysis, and test automation is essential, as is experience with inertial sensors and camera or lidar calibration. Nice-to-have skills include experience with drones, robotics, or aerospace platforms, and proficiency in Rust. Basic PCB design in KiCad and experience with flight-test or field data analysis are also beneficial.
