Welders (MIG & TIG)

The employer is seeking experienced MIG and TIG welders to become part of its production crew. While the company’s broader activities are not detailed, the vacancy focuses on skilled metal‑joining work across two regular shifts. Each day will involve using MIG or TIG techniques to build components, following technical drawings and written instructions. Typical projects include joining mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel, as well as sheet and tube sections. Candidates must also complete a welding assessment that covers a safety risk review, adherence to welding and brazing procedures, and compliance with specific unit work guidelines. Applicants need a proven background in either MIG or TIG welding, the capability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and the habit of performing quality inspections on finished pieces. The role requires the ability to travel to the site in Blandford Forum, DT11 7TG, and successful candidates will undergo the aforementioned assessment before starting. The position offers flexible scheduling with a fixed morning roster (06:00‑14:00, Monday‑Friday) or an afternoon pattern (14:00‑00:00, Monday‑Thursday), and part‑time options are also considered. Pay ranges from £13.00 to £15.81 per hour depending on shift and experience. Benefits include 25 days of annual leave, a bonus scheme of up to 4 % of salary, pension contributions, company‑provided PPE and workwear, free parking, on‑site refreshments, and locker and shower facilities. The employer highlights a stable environment and a supportive team for those seeking long‑term employment.
