The Business Unit Controller role is part of the Finance & Controlling (FICO) team at SKAN, which handles finance and controlling tasks for the company's Swiss operations and coordinates group-wide FICO activities. The team consists of 14 members. The main day-to-day responsibilities include providing FICO support to a dedicated business unit and serving as a sparring partner for the business unit manager. This involves preparing, analyzing, and interpreting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the assigned business unit, which operates internationally. The role also supports the preparation of internal financial reporting, processes ad hoc analyses and reports, and presents the results. Additionally, the controller will prepare target/actual comparisons and profitability analyses, collaborate in the budget process, and support optimization processes both within and across departments. The role also involves assisting specialist departments with various business management issues. To qualify for this position, candidates must have a degree in business administration with a focus on finance and controlling. Proficiency in SAP, particularly the FICO modules, is essential, with additional knowledge in modules like PP, SD, and MM being advantageous. Strong conceptual and analytical skills, as well as a high affinity for IT and applications, are required. Good knowledge of accounting standards, specifically Swiss GAAP FER, is also necessary. Candidates must be business fluent in both German and English, both written and spoken. Nice-to-have skills include further training in controlling, such as being an expert in accounting and controlling. Experience in a manufacturing company is advantageous.
