Food Prep Assistant

The Food Prep Assistant position places you inside a bustling hotel kitchen in Greece, where you will join an established culinary team for a seasonal contract. Accommodation and meals are arranged for you, allowing you to focus entirely on the work without worrying about housing or grocery costs. Your daily routine involves preparing ingredients by cutting, washing, portioning and organizing them for service. You will back up the cooks during busy periods, help with plating and carry out basic cooking tasks under supervision, and keep the work area clean and hygienic. The role keeps the kitchen operating smoothly behind the scenes, offering a solid introduction to high‑volume hotel food service. The job requires prior experience in a kitchen environment such as a restaurant, café or fast‑food outlet, a clear grasp of basic kitchen flow, and the ability to cope with rush periods. Fluency in English, reliability and a willingness to improve are essential, and while you do not need formal chef training, you should not be a complete novice. The season runs full‑time, five to six days a week, with you living close to the workplace and enjoying Greece’s beaches and sunshine after shifts. You will work alongside an international crew, gaining hands‑on hotel kitchen experience that strengthens prep speed, structure and confidence for future gastronomy careers.
