BACKEND SOFTWARE ENGINEER | BACKEND DEVELOPER | C++ JAVA PYTHON

Techyon® is a recruitment firm specializing in C-Suite, Managerial, and Mission-Critical roles within the Information Technology sector. They are currently seeking a Backend Software Engineer for a company that produces optical inspection systems. The Backend Software Engineer will design and implement field software solutions using modern C++, Java, and Python for Windows and Linux platforms. They will define the design, implementation, and testing of software components for distributed systems. The role involves collaborating within a multi-disciplinary development team to deliver products efficiently. The engineer will ensure software quality by applying Clean-Code principles and using automated tests within a CI/CD pipeline. They will also contribute innovative ideas and novel electronic design solutions to address business and customer challenges, drive improvements in team working practices, produce and review technical, quality, and production documentation, and support products throughout their lifecycle. The ideal candidate must have a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. They need a strong understanding of programming principles for production systems and extensive experience with C++, Java, and Python. Experience in microservices architecture, knowledge of CI/CD practices using Team City, proficiency in version control systems like Bitbucket (Git), and high proficiency in spoken and written English and Italian are essential. Familiarity with the Atlassian platform and understanding of embedded systems programming are also required. Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with databases such as MariaDB, Redis, and MongoDB, knowledge of JavaScript and React, familiarity with other programming languages, knowledge of GPU programming, and understanding of AI/ML concepts. The role is based in Mendrisio, Switzerland, and offers a Swiss contract with a RAL of 60,000 CHF. The position is on-site.
