IT Onsite Support Engineer (Heerbrugg 1st, 2nd level support, English, German)

They are looking for an IT Onsite Support Engineer to join their growing, international team in Heerbrugg. In this role you will keep the local IT infrastructure stable and run day‑to‑day operations at the assigned sites. Typical tasks include delivering friendly, professional on‑site support, installing, configuring, replacing and maintaining endpoint hardware such as notebooks, desktops, docking stations, monitors, printers and meeting‑room equipment. You will handle ITSM incidents, support local roll‑outs and hardware refreshes, set up new workplaces, and keep local documentation up to date while coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Regular visits to all assigned locations and occasional travel between sites are part of the job. The position requires solid knowledge of IT hardware and standard client devices, as well as a basic understanding of the software commonly used in office environments. Candidates must work in a service‑oriented, structured manner, possess strong communication skills and a professional attitude, and be fluent in both German and English, written and spoken. An interest in information technology and technical problem‑solving is expected, and applicants must provide a recent (no older than three months) criminal‑record extract.
