Private Equity Associate – Consumer & Leisure (France/Europe)

Mercor seeks a Private Equity Associate focused on consumer and leisure transactions across France and Europe. The associate will construct a complete financial model for an assigned deal using a synthetic document pack, delivering an editable Excel workbook that contains live formulas, source references and clear assumptions. In addition, the role requires peer‑reviewing two anonymised models produced by other contractors, applying a fixed set of criteria, providing a brief written rationale and completing a review scorecard. The position calls for 2–4 years of overall experience, including roughly two years in investment banking, preferably within consumer/retail or generalist M&A in Europe, and one to two years in mid‑market or large‑cap private equity. Candidates should currently or recently be an associate at a PE fund with a consumer/leisure or multi‑site services focus and be capable of building models from source documents without a template. Fluency in English is required; experience in a Paris office or French‑focused deals is advantageous. The engagement is expected to take about 20–25 hours over 1.5–2 weeks.
