Architect SAP Integration

Sika, a global specialty‑chemicals leader that supplies bonding, sealing, damping and protective solutions for construction and industrial manufacturing, is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant SAP Integration for its SAP Technology team in Zurich. The position sits within a strategic assignment that supports the company’s cloud‑driven integration landscape while safeguarding the performance, stability and security of its SAP interfaces. In this role you will craft and oversee integration architectures using SAP Integration Suite, SAP PO/PI and API Management, while working closely with functional and technical colleagues to capture integration requirements and guarantee end‑to‑end consistency. Daily tasks include keeping integration interfaces running smoothly, troubleshooting complex issues, promoting best‑practice, security and performance standards, and guiding project delivery teams through the system development lifecycle. You will also mentor fellow team members, review their work, and help steer Sika’s broader cloud adoption in the integration domain, staying abreast of emerging SAP technologies such as Event Mesh, BTP and CDS Views. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline and brings more than eight years of hands‑on experience with SAP integration tools. Proven expertise with SAP Integration Suite (cloud integration and API management), SAP PI/PO, UDFs, Java or Groovy, as well as OData, REST and SOAP APIs is required. A solid grasp of BTP, event‑driven architectures, IDoc, RFC, ALE and EDI, plus strong problem‑solving abilities and fluency in English, are essential; Spanish or German language skills and an SAP Integration Suite certification are advantageous.
