Its crews capture images, video, audio and detailed scans for clients worldwide, with personnel stationed across Europe, North America and Asia. The position of Autonomous Vehicle Test Operator involves piloting a self‑driving car, assessing its performance and offering ride‑hail service to everyday passengers. Each workday includes navigating the vehicle on both pre‑planned and open‑ended routes, primarily observing the system while occasionally taking manual control. The operator records software behavior, logs data, and delivers spoken commentary about the surrounding environment. Additional duties cover testing various vehicle functions, completing prompt and thorough ride summaries for both operations and engineering groups, and adhering to a schedule that may involve early mornings, evenings, weekends or overnight periods while maintaining rigorous safety standards inside and outside the car. Candidates must be at least twenty‑one, hold a current Class C driver’s licence and possess a minimum of three years of driving experience with that licence class. Proficiency with a laptop and common office applications such as Gmail, Sheets and Docs is required, as is comfort using a touchscreen smartphone. The role demands keen attention to detail, the ability to articulate observations succinctly, and physical capabilities including standing, walking, prolonged sitting, occasional stair climbing, and lifting objects up to 45 lb.
